S.M.I.T.E. (Summer Missionary Institute of Training and Evangelism) is a ministry of Central Baptist Church dedicated to training young men and women to reach boys and girls with the Gospel. This week-long training institute doesn’t have traditional "camp" activities; instead, it provides tiered levels of training taught by instructors with a heart for ministry and a passion for seeing lost children come to the saving knowledge of Christ. During the afternoons, the students have the opportunity to put this training into practice by conducting local Bible clubs. Each evening, there is a service to rejoice in what God has done, and a time for the teaching and preaching of God's Word.
In 2023, S.M.I.T.E. conducted 100 Bible clubs in the Baton Rouge area, reaching 1,300 children with the Gospel message.
